Experience

In addition to 4 YEARS experience in general surgery, I have 30 YEARS experience in Urology and I have been fortunate to experience a wide variety of urological surgery in thirteen different institutions in Pakistan and England

• Full range of general urology including all open urological surgeries

Endoscopic surgery

• Including cystourethroscopy, transurethral surgery, endoscopic ureteric surgery

Laser endoscopic surgery

• Laser prostatectomy, laser ablation of tumors, laser ablation of strictures, laser stone fragmentation

Renal transplant surgery

• Organ retrieval, sitting A-V shunts, AV  Fistulae, CAPD catheter and cadaver and live donor renal transplants. In Pakistan, I have performed more than 500 live donor transplants at Sheikh Zayed postgraduate medical institute, Shalamar Hospital, Ittefaq Hospital and National Hospital & Medical Center, Lahore

Pediatric Urology

• Experience in hypospadias, incomplete decent of testicles, posterior urethral valve surgery, pyeloplasty and other general urology

 

Urodynamics

Andrology

• Impotence surgery, nesbitt’s procedure and vasovasotomy.

Reconstructive Urology

• In Pakistan, the incidence of urinary fistula and urethral strictures insignificant and I have gained valuable experience in these fields

Stress incontinence surgery

• Significant female population suffer genuine stress incontinence and at present, I am probably the only urologist in Lahore doing stamey’s EBNS and preyra razz bladder neck suspension or open MMK  or burch colposuspension operations
